About Us

Welcome TO

India & Desmond's Legacy

Desmond and I set out on a journey to change the course of lives, our children’s lives and the lives of generations to come.

We set out to create spaces where families can come together and enjoy each other and create memories that will last a lifetime. Our mission is to provide you with a taste of, what I like to call, Family Luxury. You might be thinking, “what the heck is family luxury?” I’m so glad you asked! It’s finding those small moments, spaces, and experiences that bring joy. Moments where you find a bit of peace amidst the hustle and bustle of life. Amenities that you may not experience in your everyday life.

India

Greetings fabulous people! I’m India the dreamer, freak in the spreadsheets, and adrenaline junkie. I keep the ship afloat here at IND Legacy LLC by taking care of all the back-office details, guest communications, and my poor attempts at social media (I’m getting better, I swear). If you read up on why Des and I started IND Legacy, you know I’m the one with the health issues that spurred our leap into entrepreneurship.

I have a background in consulting, working at one of the leading firms in the world where I got to travel Monday to Thursday for over a decade. I’m also a mother that travels with her kids when I can. Let’s just say I know a thing or two about what guests are looking for because I spent so much time being a guest myself.

With IND Legacy I get to combine my childhood dream of owning a hotel with my consulting skills and traveling experience to build a portfolio of short-term stays that will someday span across the globe. Someday in the not-too-distant future, I want to spend the year traveling the world staying at IND Legacy properties, and getting into all sorts of trouble that gets my adrenaline pumping and challenges my kids’ sense of adventure and danger. All the while Des looks at me shaking his head and follows me out of the airplane prying his parachute will open.

Desmond

I’m Desmond, the rational and creative visionary of the family. I’m the creative designer who develops the look and feel, the amenities, and the experiences you enjoy when staying at an IND Legacy property. After several years in the hospitality industry and engaging with customers daily while managing the beer department at a large liquor store, I have some pretty good ideas about what people want. Let’s just say I have seen the bad, the good, and the “are you serious” side of customer service.

Ever since reading the books Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki and Think and Grow Rich by Oliver Napoleon Hill, I knew real estate would be my path and we are in the process of making that a reality.

When I’m not working my 9 to 5, or coming up with new ideas to make the properties in our portfolio stand out, you can find me enjoying a slightly chilled craft beer or in search of an amazing meal that I would never cook at home. Why go to a restaurant to get chicken and mashed potatoes, when you can have a dry-aged bone-in rib-eye seasoned and grilled to perfection. If you can’t tell… I’m a foodie.

Xzavier

Zae here. I’m 18 and I’m in the process of getting an education on what it’s like to be a grown-up. I spend my days going to school to learn welding and my nights working fast food to pay for school. While the schedule can be grueling, the life lessons I’m learning are invaluable. Do y’all know how much gas costs?! It will all be worth it however, I love welding, and let’s face it Trades keep our world running.

While I’m not currently involved in IND Legacy, I foresee myself being one of the key members on the construction side. Once I get my certification in welding I plan to pick up other trade skills and who knows, there may be a different division under the IND Legacy umbrella for constructing not only our properties but other people’s as well. All run by your man Zae. When I have a free moment I like playing video games such as Y2K and spending time with my family.

Alex

I’m Alex, the low-key one of the brood. I’m currently off at university having the college experience everyone always talks about. Pretty sure I will be going into engineering, though not clear on what specialty yet. Right now I’m just focused on getting through my freshman year with good grades and having fun while doing it.

My involvement in IND Legacy thus far has been limited to supporting the build-out of furniture and prepping for the property to go live (that blue chair you sit out outside at Northshore Walkabout, that’s all me). That said, I’m surfer interested to learn more about the business side of things. I considered a business degree before selecting engineering. Who knows, maybe I will do both and take over the company one day.

When I’m not in class or doing an amazing job at assembling furniture, you can find me on the basketball court or signing in the choir. I’m a person with diverse interests.

Jenee

Hi, I’m Jeneé. I’m the youngest of the Campbell-Hatcher grew. The youngest, the brightest, and the one most interested in all things creative. If I could spend my days creating videos, designing a seasonal wardrobe, sewing clothes, or obsessing over stationery I would. (Parent interjection: We have no idea why she loves notebooks and pens so much.)

Even though I’m technically not on the payroll I like to offer my opinion on what my parents should put in the houses. I’m also honing my skills in spotting areas to invest. One day I may design all the decorative pillows for our properties, but I’m currently testing out other Entrepreneurial ways to make money. Then I can buy whatever I want (insert sneer and devilish laugh). I’m also saving up to take my parents to Japan one day… that’s where they make my favorite pens.
